CHICAGO – Chicago White Sox Charities (CWSC) is honoring White Sox Hall-of-Famer Harold Baines with a limited-edition talking bobblehead. The collectible bobblehead will be available for purchase beginning Sunday, July 28.

Celebrating his induction into the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York, the bobblehead features Baines’ iconic batting stance in the 1983 White Sox uniform. The bobblehead includes a recording of Baines’ one-word quote, “evidently.”

A special pre-sale begins Thursday, July 18, featuring a limited amount of VIP packages with a $100 donation. The VIP package includes an opportunity to meet Baines on Sunday, July 28 and an autographed bobblehead with a Hall of Fame inscription. VIP package purchasers must have a ticket to the game on Sunday, July 28 vs. Minnesota.

Beginning on Sunday, July 28, the commemorative bobblehead will be available for $35 each at whitesox.com/haroldbobble and at Guaranteed Rate Field in Section 135. Each purchase includes a limited-edition certificate. There will be a $10 domestic or $15 Canadian shipping and handling fee for online purchases. All proceeds will benefit CWSC and the YMCA of the Chesapeake in Baines’ hometown of St. Michael’s, Maryland.

“Harold Baines is a Hall-of-Fame individual on the field, but most importantly, off the field. He holds a special place in the hearts of all White Sox fans,” said Christine O’Reilly, Chicago White Sox Charities executive director. “It’s a wonderful opportunity to celebrate one of the most beloved players in White Sox history in a fun way, while also provide fans an opportunity to support the impactful work in the community.”

This is the sixth consecutive year that CWSC has held a bobblehead fundraising campaign. Previous campaigns have commemorated former team captain Paul Konerko in 2014, first baseman Jose Abreu in 2015, legendary two-sport athlete Bo Jackson in 2016, Hall-of-Famer Tim “Rock” Raines in 2017 and A.J. Pierzynski in 2018 – raising a combined total of more than $450,000 for CWSC.
