White Sox introduce fan cutout initiative on sale today

Authenticated ‘FANtastic Faces’ Program Connects Fans to Ballpark from Home; SoxSplit 50/50 Returns Virtually for All 60 Games

July 8th, 2020

CHICAGO – The Chicago White Sox announced their new initiative, called FANtastic Faces, allowing fans to purchase a cardboard cutout of their likeness that will be displayed at Guaranteed Rate Field during the team’s first homestand. Sales of FANtastic Faces begin today, July 8 at 3 p.m. at whitesox.com/fantasticfaces.

A limited supply of FANtastic Faces are available for $49 each, while supplies last, and fans interested in creating their personal cutout can submit a photo following the guidelines provided at whitesox.com/fantasticfaces. Net proceeds will benefit Chicago White Sox Charities (CWSC), which provides annual financial, in-kind and emotional support to hundreds of Chicago-based organizations.

FANtastic Faces cutouts will be authenticated and available for pickup following the opening three-game series against Minnesota scheduled to begin on Friday, July 24.

Returning for the 2020 season, fans also can play to win, while supporting CWSC through an expanded virtual version of SoxSplit 50/50, presented by Wintrust. New this year, SoxSplit tickets will be available online during both home and away games at whitesox.com/soxsplit. Sales will be open until the end of the 7th inning – an inning longer than in previous seasons. Online sales are exclusive to Illinois residents, and the winning ticket for each game will be displayed online and on Twitter at @soxcharities.

Additionally, a guaranteed mega jackpot for Opening Day will be announced on a later date.

As the White Sox 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, CWSC works tirelessly to lift up those most in need throughout the Chicagoland area. Through initiatives like FANtastic Faces and SoxSplit 50/50, CWSC raises funds to promote youth education and advancement, share the love of the game through youth baseball initiatives, assist children and families in crisis and champion those battling cancer. Since its inception in 1990, CWSC has donated more than $32 million to non-profit organizations across the city and surrounding areas.
