CHICAGO -- Following this afternoon’s game vs. Minnesota, the Chicago White Sox optioned right-handed pitcher Dylan Covey to Class AAA Charlotte.

Covey, 27, suffered the loss today vs. the Twins. He is 1-7 with a 6.99 ERA (32 ER/47.2 IP) in 14 appearances (10 starts) with the White Sox this season.

Chicago will make a corresponding roster move prior to Tuesday night’s series opener vs. the New York Mets.
