PHILADELPHIA – Prior to tonight’s game at Philadelphia, the Chicago White Sox placed right-handed pitcher Carson Fulmer on the 10-day injured list with a strained right hamstring and recalled right-hander Dylan Covey from Class AAA Charlotte.
Covey, 27, is 1-7 with a 6.99 ERA (32 ER/47.2 IP) in 14 appearances (10 starts) with the White Sox this season. He also has gone 0-0 with a 1.85 ERA (5 ER/24.1 IP) and 25 strikeouts over eight games (six starts) with Charlotte in 2019.
Fulmer, 25, threw 2.0 scoreless IP last night before suffering the injury while running the bases in the 14th inning. He is 1-1 with a 5.30 ERA (11 ER/18.2 IP) and 20 strikeouts in 14 games (one start) over five stints with the White Sox this season.
