White Sox recall Luis González from Schaumburg

CHICAGO – Prior to tonight’s series opener vs. Detroit, the Chicago White Sox recalled outfielder Luis González from the Schaumburg training facility.

González, 25, takes the roster spot of right-handed pitcher Jonathan Stiever, who was optioned to Schaumburg following Sunday’s game.

González is rated by Baseball America as the No. 9 prospect in the White Sox organization. He appeared in three games with the Sox in 2021, going 0-1 with a run scored in his major-league debut season.
