HOUSTON, Texas – Four-time PGA Tour-winner and 2019 U.S. Open champion Gary Woodland highlights a new group of golfers who have committed to play in the 2024 Texas Children’s Houston Open from March 28-31 at Memorial Park Golf Course.

Joining Woodland are three golfers who’ve already logged wins on the 2024 PGA TOUR in Austin Eckroat, Nick Dunlap and Jake Knapp, along with Billy Horschel, Brandt Snedeker and four-time European Tour-winner, Ryan Fox.

Woodland will be making his third straight appearance in the Texas Children’s Houston Open. Along with his victory at the 2019 U.S. Open at Pebble Beach, he also won the 2018 Waste Management Phoenix Open. It was announced this week that Woodland is the recipient of the Golf Writers Association of America’s 2023 Ben Hogan Award for remaining in golf “despite a physical handicap or serious illness.” Woodland underwent a craniotomy last September to remove a brain lesion and has already competed in five different TOUR events in 2024.

Knapp, ranked No. 45 in the world, got off to a hot start in 2024 with a win at this year’s Mexico Open, the first PGA Tour win of his career. He’s logged three top-five finishes in his PGA Tour career and will be making his first appearance at the Texas Children’s Houston Open.

Eckroat, currently ranked No. 49 in the world, recorded the first win of his PGA Tour career at the 2024 Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches. He will be making his second straight appearance in the Texas Children’s Houston Open.

Dunlap made history this year with his victory at The American Express, becoming the first amateur to notch a win on the PGA Tour in 33 years. At 20 years old, he also became the second-youngest player to win on the PGA Tour in the last 90 years.

Horschel and Snedeker have combined for 16 wins on the PGA Tour. Horschel’s last win came at the 2022 Memorial Tournament and will be appearing in the Texas Children’s Houston Open for the first time since 2017. Snedeker is a nine-time winner on the PGA Tour, including wins in the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, Farmers Insurance Open and Wyndham Championship.

Fox will be playing in the Texas Children’s Houston Open for the first time in his career and is currently ranked No. 42 in the world.

The new group joins an exceptionally talented field that already includes Scottie Scheffler – currently ranked No. 1 in the world – current U.S. Open Champion, Wyndam Clark, and reigning Texas Children’s Houston Open Champion, Tony Finau.

Additional players will be announced in the coming weeks as the Texas Children’s Houston Open continues to draw a must-see competitive field.
