The Texas Rangers today announced that the club has reinstated right-handed pitcher Yu Darvish from the 15-day disabled list. He is scheduled to start today's game against the Cubs at Wrigley Field. To make room on the active roster for Darvish, the team has optioned right-handed pitcher Jose Leclerc to Triple-A Round Rock.
Darvish went 2-0 with a 2.87 ERA (5 ER/15.2 IP) in 3 games/starts for Texas before going on the disabled list on June 13 (retroactive to June 9) with right shoulder discomfort. He made 2 starts with Double-A Frisco on injury rehabilitation assignment during this most recent disabled list stint, with his last outing on Sunday against Northwest Arkansas (5.0 IP, 6 H, 3 R-ER, 1 BB, 5 SO, 1 HR, 72 pitches). 
He also opened the season on the disabled list as he continued to rehab from ligament reconstruction surgery on his right elbow on March 17, 2015, and his first stint with Texas spanned May 28-June 8. Entering today's start, Darvish's 1.77 career ERA against the National League is the 3rd-lowest all-time in Interleague play by any pitcher with 10-or-more starts.
Leclerc posted no record and a 1.59 ERA (1 ER/5.2 IP) over 3 relief appearances with Texas after being recalled on July 5 for his first major league action. He pitched a scoreless 8th inning to finish the loss yesterday against the Cubs.
The Rangers' major league roster remains at the 40-player limit.
