August 10th, 2017

The Rangers return to Texas on Friday, opening a 10-game homestand at Globe Life Park in Arlington.
The homestand launches with another installment of the Silver Boot Series, presented by the Texas Lottery, as the Houston Astros are in town Friday, August 11 at 7:05 p.m.; Saturday, August 12 at 7:05 p.m.; and Sunday, August 13 at 2:05 p.m. to continue the battle for the Silver Boot.
Friday's festivities will include Pudge Rodriguez signing copies of his new book, "They Call Me Pudge: My Life Playing the Game I Love," in the Kid's Zone before the game. Fans wanting even more Rodriguez memories can head to the first base concourse both Friday and Saturday for a photo opportunity with his Hall of Fame plaque.
That night's Friday Fireworks show will be set to a number 7 theme.
On Saturday, the Rangers will host a Pudge Rodriguez Pre-game Number Retirement Ceremony. Multiple Rangers alumni who also sported the No. 7 will be on hand for the occasion and will be signing autographs on the first base, third base, and home plate concourses prior to the game.
Rangers players will don 1999 throwback uniforms Saturday as the team turns back the clock for Rodriguez's ceremony, too.
The first 15,000 fans that night will receive a PowerAde/Walmart Pudge Rodriguez HOF Bobblehead, and the first 40,000 will receive a commemorative Pudge Rodriguez Certificate.
Sunday's series finale with Houston will mark another Blue Bell Ice Cream Sunday.
The Detroit Tigers make the trek to Arlington for a three-game set with 7:05 p.m. matchups on Monday, August 14; Tuesday, August 15; and Wednesday, August 16.
Wednesday will mark another Texas Chili Company Dollar Hot Dog Night.
A four-game set with the Chicago White Sox marks the final series of the homestand. The two teams will square off at 7:05 p.m. on Thursday, August 17; Friday, August 18; and Saturday, August 19, before wrapping up the series with a 2:05 p.m. matinee Sunday, August 20.
Papa John's Texas Rangers Throwback Thursday Collector Pins commemorating Rodriguez's No. 7 will be distributed to the first 10,000 fans on Thursday.
Friday's Fireworks will be set to a Solar Eclipse theme.
On Saturday, the first 15,000 fans will receive a McDonald's Adrian Beltre Starting Lineup Figurine. And country recording artist Aaron Watson will perform following the game, presented by Budweiser.
The concerts and giveaways both continue on Sunday, as the first 7,500 fans, 13 and younger, can take home a Central Market Chest Protector Backpack.
Prior to the game, former Ranger David Murphy will share his testimony beginning at 12:30 p.m. in the Hall of Fame Theater. Then, following the contest, Buckner International presents a concert with Christian recording artist David Crowder.
Tickets can be purchased at texasrangers.com, by calling 972.RANGERS, and at the Globe Life Park in Arlington ticket office.
