As part of the 2017 Boston Pride Week festivities in the City of Boston, the Red Sox will celebrate members of Boston's LGBT community in ceremonies before tonight's 7:10 p.m. Red Sox-Tigers game at Fenway Park, and participate in Saturday's Boston Pride Parade.
Tonight's pregame ceremony will recognize officials from the Boston Pride Parade committee and members of the Gay Bowl XVII host committee, who will be hosting their national LGBT flag football tournament in Boston this October. Additionally, from 5:40 p.m. to 7 p.m., a pregame party will be held on the Right Field Roof Deck for members of the LGBT community attending the game.  
Tomorrow, close to 50 members of the Red Sox front office and their families, along with Wally the Green Monster, will participate in the Boston Pride Parade. The parade starts at noon on Boylston Street and ends at City Hall Plaza. The club is also flying the rainbow flag above Fenway Park for tonight's game and throughout the weekend.  
The Red Sox have hosted Pride Night at Fenway Park since 2013, when former NBA player Jason Collins was invited to throw the ceremonial first pitch at the ballpark shortly after coming out as the first openly gay athlete playing in American professional sports. Pride Night at Fenway Park is an official Boston Pride Week event and part of the club's ongoing effort to make Fenway Park an inclusive environment open to all fans regardless of race, religion, gender, or sexual orientation.
