July 22nd, 2026

BOSTON, MA — The Boston Red Sox today announced that club ownership, players, the Red Sox Foundation, corporate partners, and thousands of fans across Red Sox Nation have raised more than $300,000 to support relief efforts following the devastating earthquakes in Venezuela.

The club will recognize the fundraising milestone during its inaugural Venezuelan Celebration at Fenway Park on Wednesday, July 22, with a special pregame on-field check presentation featuring Red Sox players, their families, and representatives from local organizations serving the Venezuelan community. The club's Venezuelan players are scheduled to participate in the ceremonies.

The Red Sox will hold a gate collection for Venezuelan earthquake relief efforts during Wednesday night's game, with online donations continuing through July 31 through the Red Sox Foundation's Venezuelan Earthquake Disaster Relief Efforts Fund at www.RedSoxFoundation.org/Relief. As a thank you for their support, fans who make a donation on Jersey Street before the game will have the opportunity to take a photo with Red Sox players from Venezuela, who will be on hand to thank fans for supporting the relief effort. Funds raised will support organizations providing emergency assistance and long-term recovery efforts for communities affected by the earthquakes.

The inaugural Venezuelan Celebration is part of the club's Cultural & Identity Celebrations, which recognize the diverse communities that make up Red Sox Nation. Wednesday's event will feature pregame entertainment on Jersey Street and culturally relevant concession offerings celebrating Venezuelan culture. A portion of ticket proceeds from Venezuelan Celebration purchases will also benefit the Red Sox Foundation's Venezuelan Earthquake Disaster Relief Efforts Fund. Tickets are available at www.redsox.com/venezuela. Mastercard is the preferred payment method of the Boston Red Sox.
