PNC/Reds E-Waste Recycling Drive presented by Cohen, May 3-5

PNC, The Cincinnati Reds and Cohen Recycling are joining forces again with the support of several of Cincinnati’s leading corporations for the 10th annual PNC/Reds E-Waste Recycling Drive on May 16-18, 2019.

The E-Waste Recycling Drive provides a safe and convenient opportunity for Reds fans and residents of Greater Cincinnati to recycle old electronics responsibly.

The public is encouraged to visit one of these three locations with their electronic waste for recycling:

**Thursday, May 16 **(7 a.m. to 3 p.m.)

• PNC Bank– Northgate Square: 9650 Colerain Ave., Cincinnati, OH 45251

• Reds Hall of Fame pitcher "Mr. Perfect" Tom Browning will greet recyclers from 11 a.m. to Noon

Friday, May 17 (7 a.m. to 3 p.m.)

• PNC Bank – Mason/Deerfield Township: 5283 Bowen Drive, Mason, OH 45040

• Reds catcher Curt Casali will greet recyclers from 11 a.m. to Noon

Saturday, May 18 (9 a.m. to 3 p.m.)

• Kroger – Oakley Station: 4613 Marburg Ave., Cincinnati, OH 45209 **(NEW LOCATION FOR 2019) **

• Reds pitcher Robert Stevenson will greet recyclers from 11 a.m. to Noon

The first 500 cars at each event will receive two free tickets to a select 2019 regular season Reds game. Reds players and personalities will be on hand to assist volunteers and meet recyclers.

A minimum donation of $10 per car is suggested to offset recycling costs and to benefit the Reds Community Fund.

Accepted e-waste items include: personal computers, cell phones, cords, monitors, televisions, small home appliances and most other electronics. Prohibited items include hazardous waste, light bulbs, glass, paper, wood, and scrap metal. Limit 3 CRT (tube) televisions or monitors per car. Over the past nine years, the event has grown into one of the largest e-waste recycling drives in the nation. Reds fans have helped divert more than one million pounds of potentially hazardous materials from local landfills.

This event is made possible with support from PNC, Cohen Recycling, CBTS, Duke Energy, Macy’s, TriHealth, and Kroger, as well as promotional and organizing support from Green Umbrella, City of Cincinnati Office of Environment & Sustainability, Hamilton County Recycling & Solid Waste District, and Warren County Solid Waste Management.
