Astros Set to Host Rangers in ALCS Games 1 and 2

The Astros will host in-state rival in the ALCS beginning Sunday; rally towels, Street Fest and more on deck

HOUSTON, Texas - The Houston Astros are set to begin their seventh-straight ALCS at Minute Maid Park against in-state rival Texas Rangers, with Game 1 on Sunday, Oct. 15 at 7:15 p.m. CT and Game 2 on Monday, Oct. 16 at 3:37 p.m. CT.

All games in the ALCS will be televised nationally on FOX with Joe Davis, John Smoltz, Ken Rosenthal and Tom Verducci calling the action. On local radio, the games will be aired on SportsTalk 790 with Robert Ford and Steve Sparks calling the action, with Matt Boltz as the engineer. Francisco Romero and Alex Treviño will be on the call for Astros Spanish radio on TUDN 93.3. On national radio, Karl Ravech, Tim Kurkjian and Eduardo Perez will have the call on ESPN Radio.

Games one and two of the ALCS will feature a special postseason Street Fest. Fans must have a game ticket to attend Street Fest, which includes live music, food trucks, inflatables, games and more. For more information on Street Fest, visit Astros.com/streetfest.

Fans are also encouraged to wear orange to both game one and game two of the ALCS.

Sunday, Oct. 15 vs. Texas Rangers – 7:15 p.m. CT
The Astros will open the ALCS with game 1 against the Rangers on Sunday, Oct. 15 at 7:15 p.m. The status of the roof of Minute Maid Park for game 1 will be announced on day-of-game. Gates and Street Fest will open at 4 p.m. CT on Sunday.

All fans in attendance will receive a Rally Towel, provided by H-E-B.

Houston Police Officer K’Yuana Nelson will sing the National Anthem and the Joint Forces Color Guard will present our nation’s colors. Astros legendary star and Hall of Famer Craig Biggio will throw out the ceremonial first pitch. Houston natives, legendary rapper Paul Wall and comedian Mo Amer will make the “Play Ball” call.

God Bless America will be performed by Angela Matthews.

Monday, Oct. 16 vs. Texas Rangers – 3:37 p.m. CT
Game 2 of the ALCS is set for 3:37 p.m. CT at Minute Maid Park on Thursday, Oct. 20. The status of the roof of Minute Maid Park for game 2 will be announced on day-of-game. Gates for game 2 and Street Fest will open at 12:30 p.m. CT.

All fans in attendance will receive a Rally Towel, provided by Reliant.

Country music singer songwriter Clay Walker will sing the National Anthem, while the Houston Police Department Color Guard presents our nation’s colors.

Astros great Jason Castro will throw out the ceremonial first pitch. Texans’ rookies CJ Stroud and Will Anderson will have the Play Ball call.
