The Toronto Blue Jays return home on Friday, May 17 to take on the AL East rival Tampa Bay Rays. With the upcoming May long weekend, fans will be treated to a special theme day or giveaway during five of six games this homestand. The Chicago White Sox come to town on Victoria Day, Monday, May 20, opening the three-game series with a 3:07 p.m. holiday afternoon game.

Below is a snapshot of what’s on at the ballpark this homestand:

  • Country Night returns on Friday, May 17 (7:07 p.m.) featuring a Chris Bassitt ‘Hound on the Mound’ Bobblehead giveaway (image here) for the first 15,000 fans. The festivities feature pre and in-game performances by Canadian country artist Owen Riegling as his Buckle Up Tour presented by Bud Light makes a bonus stop at Rogers Centre, while Canadian country singer-songwriter Robyn Ottolini performs the anthems. It is sure to be a toe-tappin' good time as Rogers Centre is transformed into a barn party, including line dancing and western-inspired activities for fans to enjoy. As part of all Friday home games, Fry Days with McCain features an exclusive offering of Yee-haw Burnt-ends poutine – McCain SureCrips fries topped with smoked brisket, cheese curds, and drizzled with Memphis-style BBQ sauce and spicy mayo, topped with pickled jalapeños. Foodies can also enjoy the Apple Pie Churros in TD Park Social and a special ‘Nashville Limeade’ cocktail in the Outfield District.
  • The long weekend is just getting started as the series against the Tampa Bay Rays continues on Saturday, May 18 (3:07 p.m.).
  • Sunday, May 19 marks Jays Sunday (1:37 p.m.). Kids 14 and under can run the bases postgame and take part in activities around the ballpark pre and in-game. Fans can reserve a postgame timeslot for their Jr. Jays to run the bases, with Jr. Jays Club All-Star Members receiving first access to registration. • Who better to celebrate on the May long weekend than our homegrown closer? Spend the afternoon at the ballpark on Monday, May 20 (3:07 p.m.) where the first 15,000 fans at Rogers Centre can get their hands on a Jordan Romano Blue Replica Jersey (image here).
  • Blue Jays fans have been hungry on Loonie Dogs Nights presented by Schneiders, averaging more than 1.75 hot dogs per fan each game so far this year. On Tuesday, May 21 (7:07 p.m.) fans could reach 200,000 dollar dogs by just the fourth Loonie Dogs Night of the season – will they get there?
  • The homestand wraps on Wednesday, May 22 (7:07 p.m.) when we honour starting pitcher Yusei Kikuchi! As part of the festivities, the first 15,000 fans receive a Yusei Kikuchi Bobblehead (image here), which features his signature leg kick.
