Ryan Dull recalled from Triple-A Las Vegas; Daniel Mengden optioned

OAKLAND, Calif. -- The Oakland A’s recalled right-handed pitcher Ryan Dull from Triple-A Las Vegas. To make room on the active roster, right-handed pitcher Daniel Mengden was optioned to Triple-A Las Vegas.

Dull returns to Oakland for the third time this season. He has appeared in six games for the A’s, holding a 10.29 ERA with seven strikeouts and two walks in 7.0 innings pitched. In his Major League career, he is 8-9 with four saves and a 3.91 ERA, featuring 162 strikeouts and 46 walks in 165.2 innings of work. At Triple-A this season, Dull is 1-1 with three saves and a 4.57 ERA in 21.2 innings pitched, including 32 strikeouts and only four walks.

Mengden began the year with Las Vegas, and he returns to a 3-2 record with a 2.77 ERA, 44 strikeouts, and 14 walks in 39.0 innings pitched spanning seven outings (six starts). During his time with Oakland this year, Mengden is 1-1 with a 5.09 ERA in 23.0 innings pitched across five outings. He made three starts and was used following an opener twice.
