Mookie Betts, Wade Boggs, David Price, Rick Porcello, Pedro Martinez, and Jason Varitek are among the Red Sox players and legends set to participate in the day-long panel discussions at "Baseball Winter Weekend" at Foxwoods Resort and Casino. The event, which sold out today with over 6,000 tickets sold, takes place January 20-22.

"We are grateful to the fans who have made this event a success," said Red Sox President Sam Kennedy. "Three years ago, we set out to create an environment that helped foster player-fan interaction during the offseason, and we are pleased to once again host this fun convention just a few weeks before pitchers and catchers report to Spring Training."

Panel discussions are scheduled throughout the day on Saturday, January 21, giving fans an opportunity to hear directly from players, coaches, and alumni.

The panels begin at 9 a.m. with a session entitled "Wally's Making Books Come Alive," where the team mascot will show kids how to use sounds, actions, and imagination to make books come alive.

On the eve of the 10th anniversary of the 2007 World Series Championship season, John Farrell, Jason Varitek, and Tim Wakefield will share "Memories of 2007," starting at 10:15 a.m.

At 10:45 a.m., the "Call to the Hall" will include Wade Boggs, Dennis Eckersley, Carlton Fisk, and Jim Rice discussing what it's like getting into Baseball's Hall of Fame.

Dennis Eckersley, Pedro Martinez, David Price, and Rick Porcello will gather at noon to talk about receiving the highest award in pitching with "Cy Young Award Winners."

At 2:30 p.m., current players will face off against coaches in a Red Sox Game Show contest with Matt Barnes, Mookie Betts, Deven Marrero, Blake Swihart, and Chris Young facing off against Ruben Amaro Jr., Gary DiSarcina, Dana LeVangie, Victor Rodriguez, and Carl Willis.

The panels conclude with a 4:15 p.m. "Kids Press Conference" where children will have an opportunity to ask Andrew Benintendi, Xander Bogaerts, Jackie Bradley Jr., Craig Kimbrel, and Chris Sale their toughest baseball questions.
