A special Reds Community Fund “Split the Pot” raffle on June 11 and 12 raised $21,208 for Dayton tornado relief.

Reds fans in Ohio had an opportunity to play an online “Split the Pot” raffle to help Greater Dayton area residents affected by the May 27 tornados when the Reds played the Indians at Progressive Field in Cleveland.

The entire pot of $21,208 will go to The Dayton Foundation’s Greater Dayton Disaster Relief Fund.

The Greater Dayton Disaster Relief Fund was established in response to the devastation left in the wake of tornadoes that swept through Greater Dayton on May 27. The fund allows The Dayton Foundation to distribute funds to charitable organizations that are addressing long-term and immediate needs for our friends and neighbors affected by these storms, and assisting in rebuilding and recovery efforts in our region. One hundred percent of donations to the fund will be distributed to vetted nonprofit organizations that are helping others get back on their feet after catastrophic events, now and in the future.
