Texas Rangers Youth Academy advances to MLB RBI Regional Championship games
Softball advances to RBI Southwest Regional Championship Game for second consecutive year. Rangers RBI 18U Senior Baseball advances to RBI Southwest Regional Championship Game for first time in Rangers Youth Academy history.
DALLAS— The Texas Rangers Youth Academy today secured two championship bids in the 2022 MLB RBI Southwest Regional Tournament. Both Rangers RBI Softball and 18U Senior Baseball will play in tomorrow’s championship games after finishing pool play with perfect 3-0 records.
Winners from tomorrow’s championship games will advance to the MLB RBI World Series in Vero Beach, FL next month.
Major League Baseball will host eight divisional winners from regionals across the U.S. in the five-day RBI World Series tournament, with the winning teams receiving a championship trophy and custom gold-laced Rawlings baseball and softball gloves.
Texas Rangers 2022 Hall of Fame inductee John Blake will be the Public Address announcer for the RBI Southwest Regional Senior Baseball Championship game.
All tournament games will be open to the public at no cost.
