The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball announced Frida that three Minor League players have been suspended following their violations of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.

The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball announced today that three Minor League players have been suspended following their violations of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.

Pittsburgh Pirates Minor League pitcher Cristian Charle, who is currently on the roster of the rookie-level Dominican Summer League Pirates 2, has received a 72-game suspension without pay after testing positive for Stanozolol, a performance-enhancing substance in violation of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.

San Diego Padres Minor League pitcher Heriberto Sosa, who is currently on the roster of the rookie-level Dominican Summer League Padres, has received a 72-game suspension without pay after testing positive for Stanozolol, a performance-enhancing substance in violation of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.

Oakland Athletics Minor League pitcher Oscar Tovar, who is currently on the roster of the Single-A Vermont Lake Monsters of the New York-Penn League, has received a 50-game suspension without pay after testing positive for Phentermine, a stimulant in violation of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.
