To commemorate the A's 50 years in Oakland, the team is offering a completely free game to fans on April 17, 2018 -- exactly 50 years after the A's inaugural game at the Coliseum. Fans can sign up to receive free tickets to the 50th Anniversary game starting at 8 a.m. on Jan. 10 by visiting athletics.com/50.
Current A's Season Ticket Members do not need to sign up to receive free tickets for the 50th Anniversary game. Tickets will be automatically loaded onto their A's ticket accounts.
"We are extremely excited to offer this gift to the city as we celebrate 50 years in Oakland," said A's President Dave Kaval. "The entire 2018 season will be a celebration of the A's rich history, and offering the first free MLB game is another unique way for us to celebrate our team and wonderful fans."
Tickets for individual A's regular-season games will go on sale at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 17 at athletics.com/tickets.
