Tigers Announce 2021 Spring Training Schedule

85th Season at World Class TigerTown features visits from Astros, Blue Jays, Braves, Red Sox, Yankees

The Detroit Tigers today announced the club's Grapefruit League game schedule for 2021 Spring Training in Lakeland, Florida. Spring of 2021 will mark the Tigers 85th season at TigerTown in Lakeland, extending the longest-standing relationship between a Major League team and a current Spring Training host city. The 2021 spring season will be the club's 56th consecutive season of playing at Publix Field at Joker Marchant Stadium.

The Tigers will open the exhibition schedule on Friday, February 26 as the club plays host to Southeastern University. The Tigers open the home portion of the Grapefruit League schedule against the Boston Red Sox on Sunday, February 28.

The home schedule features two visits each from the New York Yankees (Saturday, March 6 and Friday, March 26), Toronto Blue Jays (Thursday, March 11 and Sunday, March 21), and Baltimore Orioles (Thursday, March 4 and Wednesday, March 17) and three visits apiece from the Philadelphia Phillies (Friday, March 12, Tuesday, March 23 and Saturday, March 27) and Tampa Bay Rays (Thursday, March 18, Wednesday, March 24 and Monday, March 29).

The Houston Astros (March 1), Atlanta Braves (March 2), Washington Nationals (March 7) and Pittsburgh Pirates (March 14) will each visit Publix Field for one game.

The 2021 Spring Training schedule is subject to change and game times will be announced at a later date.
