The Minnesota Twins today announced the complete schedule for their 2018 Spring Training campaign.
Twins pitchers and catchers are scheduled to begin their workouts on Wednesday, February 14. The first full-squad workout is scheduled to take place on Monday, February 19.
The Twins 2018 spring schedule features 33 games (17 home, 16 road) starting with a home opener exhibition game at the CenturyLink Sports Complex against the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers on Thursday, February 22.
Highlighting the Twins 16 home Grapefruit League games will be four contests against the A.L. East Champion Boston Red Sox (February 27 and March 10, 14 and 25); a visit from the St. Louis Cardinals (February 26); an A.L. Wild Card rematch against the New York Yankees (March 22); a game against the Toronto Blue Jays (March 2); Minnesota Day against the Pittsburgh Pirates (March 4); and a visit from the World Champion Houston Astros (March 23).
In addition to home games, the Twins spring road schedule is highlighted by three cross-town trips to JetBlue Park to take on the Boston Red Sox (February 23, March 7 and March 16); a visit to the World Champion Houston Astros (February 28); and trips to Port Charlotte to face the Tampa Bay Rays (March 9, 11).
The Twins will complete their 2018 Grapefruit League schedule against the Red Sox on March 25 before traveling to Washington, D.C. to play an exhibition game at Nationals Park against the Washington Nationals on March 27. Following the exhibition game the Twins will travel to Baltimore, where they will open the season on March 29.
Spring Training season and group tickets are on sale now with single game tickets going on sale starting December 5 at 10:00 a.m. CT. The Hammond Stadium Box Office at CenturyLink Sports Complex will open for ticket sales on Saturday, January 6.
