MINNEAPOLIS-ST. PAUL, MN -- The Minnesota Twins players, wives and front office staff will take part in the organization's eighth annual Hope Week presented by Subway® Restaurants of central Minnesota and Western Wisconsin, a week dedicated to giving back to the community. During each day of Hope Week, different Twins players will lead groups of teammates in participating in various volunteer activities. Hope Week is an effort by the organization to reach into the community and make a difference in people's lives.

Monday, June 18 (11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.): Twins front office members will teach local homeless youth how to play whiffle ball and other field games at Target Field during Whiffle Ball Fun Day, organized by PlayWorks coaches.
Tuesday, June 19 (11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.): Brian Dozier will host the Cub Cookout in partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Twin Cities. Cub Foods will donate food which will be served during a cookout following the event.
Wednesday, June 20 (10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.): Kyle Gibson will host Haiti Food Pack at Feed My Starving Children in Eagan. Gibson and other Twins players will surprise volunteers packing rice packs for Haiti at their Eagan location and assist with making rice packs.
Wednesday, June 20 (Postgame): The Minnesota Twins Wives Organization will be assembling blankets for local youth in hospitals at Target Field following the 7:10 p.m. game against the Red Sox.
Thursday, June 21 (5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.): Eduardo Escobar will host Dinner with Esky. Along with other Twins players, Escobar will visit and eat dinner with local Spanish speaking youth at Fogo de Chao in Minneapolis.
Friday, June 22 (11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.): Joe Mauer will host Picnic in the Park, where patients from Gillette Children's Hospital will join Mauer and other Twins players and staff on the field for a picnic and games.
Saturday, June 23 (6:15 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.): Play Ball! Minnesota will host a youth game takeover as part of MLB's Play Ball Weekend. The Twins will take over a youth game at Brooklyn Park's Northwoods Park giving the game all the treatment a major league game gets from player introductions to ballpark eats.
Sunday, June 24 (10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.): Byron Buxton and other Twins players will host a game of catch on the field at Target Field for U.S. Military service members and their kids.
