Minneapolis-St. Paul, MN - The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have optioned left-handed pitcher Adalberto Mejía to Triple-A Rochester. Additionally, the club has placed right-handed pitcher Justin Haley on the 10-day disabled list with right bicep tendinitis.
Mejía made three starts for the Twins, going 0-1, 5.79 ERA (9.1 IP, 6 ER) with eight walks and 10 strikeouts in 2017. Haley made five relief appearances, posting one save with a 4.15 ERA (13.0 IP, 6 ER) with three walks and 11 strikeouts in 2017.
The Twins will make corresponding roster moves prior to Sunday's game against Detroit at Target Field.
