The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have placed designated hitter/first-baseman Logan Morrison on the 10-day disabled list with a left hip impingement. Morrison has appeared in 80 games for the Twins this season, hitting .193 (51-for-264) with 34 runs, 13 doubles, 11 home runs, 31 RBI, 30 walks and 65 strikeouts.
To replace Morrison on the 25-man roster, the Twins have reinstated shortstop Ehire Adrianza from the 10-day disabled list. Prior to going on the disabled list, Adrianza appeared in 64 games for Minnesota, hitting .261 (49-for-188) with 24 runs, 14 doubles, one triple, four home runs, 19 RBI, 14 walks and 50 strikeouts.
