Twins recall Aaron Slegers

The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have recalled right-handed pitcher Aaron Slegers from Triple-A Rochester. To make room on the 25-man roster, the Twins have designated right-handed pitcher Tyler Kinley for release or assignment.

Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN -- The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have recalled right-handed pitcher Aaron Slegers from Triple-A Rochester. To make room on the 25-man roster, the Twins have designated right-handed pitcher Tyler Kinley for release or assignment.
Slegers, 25, made three starts for the Red Wings this season, going 1-0 with a 2.00 ERA (18.0 IP, 4 ER), one walk and 10 strikeouts. The 2017 Twins Minor League Pitcher of the Year was drafted by Minnesota in the fifth round of the 2013 First-Year Player Draft out of Indiana University.
Kinley made four appearances for the Twins this season, allowing nine earned runs on nine hits and four walks with four strikeouts in 3.1 innings.
