The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have unconditionally released right-handed pitcher Aníbal Sánchez. Sánchez appeared in two games for the Twins this spring, allowing six runs on five hits in 4.0 innings pitched. The 34-year-old was signed to a one-year non-guaranteed contract with the Twins on February 20.
The Twins 40-man roster is now at 39.
