Umpires for League Championship Series announced

Major League Baseball today announced the umpires who have been assigned to the 2017 American League and National League Championship Series, both of which are presented by Camping World.

Major League Baseball today announced the umpires who have been assigned to the 2017 American League and National League Championship Series, both of which are presented by Camping World. The ALCS crew chief will be Gary Cederstrom, while the NLCS crew chief will be Mike Winters. Both crew chiefs were assigned to this year's Wild Card Games, with Winters having worked the AL side at Yankee Stadium and Cederstrom the NL at Arizona's Chase Field.
Cederstrom's ALCS crew includes Mark Carlson, Chad Fairchild, Chris Guccione, regular season crew chief Jerry Meals, Jim Reynolds and Hunter Wendelstedt. Carlson, Guccione and Reynolds joined Cederstrom for this Postseason's NL Wild Card Game. Winters' NLCS crew has Lance Barksdale, Eric Cooper, Alfonso Marquez, Todd Tichenor, Bill Welke and Jim Wolf. Barksdale, Cooper and Marquez joined Winters for the AL Wild Card Game.
Carlson (ALCS) and Cooper (NLCS) will serve as the Replay Officials for Games One and Two of each LCS. Following each Game Two, Fairchild (ALCS) and Barksdale (NLCS) will shift from on-field roles to Replay Official duties in their respective series, with Carlson and Cooper joining each crew in left field for Game Three. The Replay Assistant for both League Championship Series will be Major League Umpire Mike Muchlinski.
