White Sox announce 2017 broadcast schedule

The Chicago White Sox, CSN, WGN-TV, WLS-AM 890 and WRTO-AM 1200/Univision Radio have announced the team's television and radio broadcast schedule for the 2017 season.

The Chicago White Sox, CSN, WGN-TV, WLS-AM 890 and WRTO-AM 1200/Univision Radio have announced the team's television and radio broadcast schedule for the 2017 season.
 
CSN and CSN+ will televise 106 White Sox games in 2017, beginning with Opening Day on April 3 vs. Detroit (3:10 p.m. CDT). CSN also will broadcast the first game of the crosstown series on July 24 at Wrigley Field (1:20 p.m.) as well as the series opener at Guaranteed Rate Field on July 26 (7:10 p.m., Note: This game will also be televised nationally on ESPN).
 
WGN-TV will air 55 White Sox games this season, opening its broadcast slate on April 6 vs. Detroit (1:10 p.m.). WGN is also scheduled to televise two of the four Sox-Cubs match-ups, airing both finales at Wrigley on July 25 (1:20 p.m.) and Guaranteed Rate on July 27 (7:10 p.m.).
 
All CSN, CSN+ and WGN telecasts will be available in high definition. Every regular season White Sox telecast on CSN, including surrounding White Sox Pre/Postgame Live programming, will be accessible live via CSNChicago.com and the NBC Sports app to authenticated CSN Chicago subscribers beginning this season. All out-of-market White Sox game also are available live via MLB.TV across its more than 400 supported devices.

In addition to their ESPN broadcast, the White Sox will appear on national television on June 10 at Cleveland (6:15 p.m.), televised by FOX.
 
CSN will air the following holiday games; Mother's Day, May 14 vs. San Diego (1:10 p.m.), Independence Day, July 4 at Oakland (3:07 p.m.) and Remembrance Day, September 11 at Kansas City (7:15 p.m.). WGN-TV will broadcast games on Memorial Day, May 29 vs. Boston (1:10 p.m.), Father's Day, June 18 at Toronto (12:07 p.m.) and Labor Day, September 4 vs. Cleveland (1:10 p.m.).
 
Ken "Hawk" Harrelson begins his 33rd season in the White Sox television booth in 2017. Harrelson will call the play-by-play for all road games (with the exception of the Toronto series from June 16-18), Opening Day (April 3) and the crosstown series at Guaranteed Rate Field (July 26-27). White Sox broadcaster Steve Stone, who enters his eighth season in the television booth, will continue to provide fans with the color analysis during the season. Harrelson and Stone have worked together since 2009.
 
White Sox broadcaster Jason Benetti, in his second year with the club, will call the play-by-play alongside Stone for 78 of 81 home games, as well as the three-game road series at Toronto. Benetti's first game in the booth will be on April 5 vs. Detroit (1:10 p.m.). Harrelson, Benetti and Stone will call all games on CSN/CSN+ and WGN.
 
WLS-AM 890, in its second year as the White Sox flagship radio station, will broadcast all 162 games. The on-air duo of former Sox pitcher Ed Farmer (play-by-play) and former outfielder Darrin Jackson (analyst) returns for its ninth season together. Connor McKnight will begin his second season as host of the pregame and postgame shows on WLS.
 
WRTO-AM 1200/Univision Radio returns for its third consecutive year as the Spanish-language radio home of White Sox baseball following a seven-year run from 2005-11. WRTO-AM will broadcast all 81 Sox home games during the 2017 season. Hector Molina (play-by-play) and Billy Russo (color analyst) return as the club's Spanish-language broadcast team.
