August 22nd, 2018

The Chicago White Sox have announced their 2019 regular-season schedule, with Opening Day on Thursday, March 28 at Kansas City. The season opener is part of a three-game series (with an off day on March 29) against the division-rival Royals. The Sox open the season against Kansas City for the second straight season and an American League Central opponent for the 15th time in the last 17 seasons.

Following a two-game series in Cleveland on April 1 and 3 (off day on April 2), the White Sox celebrate their home opener at Guaranteed Rate Field on Thursday, April 4 vs. Seattle. It is just the second time in franchise history Chicago will open its home schedule against the Mariners (also 1992), and the first time against a non-divisional opponent since 2011 vs. Tampa Bay. After an off day on April 5, the Sox conclude their three-game series with Seattle (April 6-7) before playing host to Tampa Bay from April 8-10 to end the first homestand of the season.

The White Sox welcome the remaining non-divisional AL teams to Guaranteed Rate Field on the following dates: Baltimore (April 29-May 1), Boston (weekend of May 2-5), Toronto (weekend of May 16-19), New York (weekend of June 13-16), Oakland (weekend of August 9-11), Houston (August 12-14), Texas (weekend of August 22-25) and Los Angeles (weekend of September 6-8).

The annual Crosstown Series vs. the Cubs will take place across two, two-game sets: June 18-19 at Wrigley Field and July 6-7 at Guaranteed Rate Field. The Sox two home games will be on a Saturday and Sunday leading into the All-Star Break.

Other 2019 interleague series include: Washington (June 4-5 at Nationals Park; June 10-11 at Guaranteed Rate Field), Miami (July 22-24 at Guaranteed Rate Field), New York (July 30-August 1 at Guaranteed Rate Field), Philadelphia (August 2-4 at Citizens Bank Park) and Atlanta (August 30-September 1 at SunTrust Park). The White Sox play host to the Mets for just the third time in franchise history (also 2002 and 2013), and travel to Atlanta for just the second time in club history (also 2002).

The Sox have three, three-team homestands (April 26-May 5, June 28-July 7 and July 22-August 1) and will take three, three-city trips next season (June 18-26, July 12-21 and September 13-22).

The 2019 schedule is tentative and subject to change. Finalized game times and a complete broadcast schedule will be released at a later date.
