White Sox kick off 'Game Changers' series on July 11

The Chicago White Sox will hold a panel discussion and pregame event called "Game Changers: Latinos in Sports Business," presented by Modelo and Saint Xavier University (SXU), on July 11 prior to the 7:10 p.m. game vs. St. Louis.

CHICAGO -- The Chicago White Sox will hold a panel discussion and pregame event called "Game Changers: Latinos in Sports Business," presented by Modelo and Saint Xavier University (SXU), on July 11 prior to the 7:10 p.m. game vs. St. Louis.

The Game Changers event series focuses on the advancement and contributions of various communities, with the July 11 event focusing on Chicago's Hispanic community. The program will begin promptly at 5 p.m., with the following guests scheduled to participate:

• Amanda López, SXU associate professor of history

• Rene Ramos, Constellation Brands beer division's senior director of field marketing, sponsorships and activation

• Renée Tirado, Major League Baseball chief diversity and inclusion officer

The discussion will be in English and moderated by Univision reporter Héctor Lozano. It will be followed by the opportunity to take photos with 2005 World Series Champion José Contreras.

Game Changers is a signature series for the White Sox diversity and inclusion campaign called "BasebALL: One Game for All." The campaign celebrates culture and heritage through theme nights and special events at the ballpark as well as emphasizes the importance of being kind to others, accepting individual differences and preventing bullying among youth through sports.
