HOUSTON – Following tonight’s game at Houston, the Chicago White Sox optioned right-handed pitcher José Ruiz to Class AAA Charlotte. 

Ruiz, 24, has gone 0-0 with a 5.11 ERA (7 ER/11.1 IP) and nine strikeouts in 13 relief appearances over two stints with the White Sox this season.

The Sox will make a corresponding roster move prior to tomorrow night’s game at Houston.
