White Sox return Willy Garcia from injury rehab assignment

Outfielder reinstated from the disabled list.

September 15th, 2017

Prior to tonight's game at Detroit, the Chicago White Sox returned outfielder Willy García from his injury rehabilitation assignment at Class A Kannapolis and reinstated him from the disabled list.
García, 25, was placed on the seven-day disabled list (concussion) on August 1 after colliding with Yoán Moncada on July 31 vs. Toronto. He suffered a fractured jaw during the collision that required surgery to insert a plate. García, who has appeared in five games with Kannapolis during the South Atlantic League playoffs, is batting .258 (24-93) with two home runs, 11 RBI and 13 runs scored in 40 games over three stints with Chicago in 2017.
Following the move, the White Sox active roster increases to 30 and the 40-man roster remains at 40.
