Arlington, Texas — The Texas Rangers today announced the club’s schedule for 2027 Spring Training presented by American Airlines, the Official & Exclusive Airline of the Texas Rangers, beginning with a matchup against the Kansas City Royals at Surprise Stadium/Billy Parker Field on Friday, February 19.
Texas' 29-game Cactus League schedule features 15 contests in Surprise, Arizona, where the club has trained for 24 straight years dating to 2003. The Rangers will be the home team for 14 of those games and will be the visiting club for one contest against the Royals, who share the complex with Texas. Those two teams are scheduled to meet twice in Surprise in 2027: the spring opener on Friday, February 19 (Royals home game) and Thursday, March 18 (Rangers home game).
In addition, the Rangers will play the Athletics, Arizona Diamondbacks, Chicago Cubs, Chicago White Sox, Cleveland Guardians, Cincinnati Reds, Colorado Rockies, Los Angeles Angels, Los Angeles Dodgers, Milwaukee Brewers, San Diego Padres, San Francisco Giants, and Seattle Mariners once each in Surprise.
Texas will also make at least one visit to each of the nine other Cactus League facilities, including multiple trips to Camelback Ranch (CWS/LAD), Goodyear Ballpark (CIN/CLE), Peoria Sports Complex (SD/SEA), Salt River Fields at Talking Stick (ARI/COL), and Tempe Diablo Stadium (LAA).
The Rangers’ 2027 Spring Training schedule includes three ‘split-squad’ dates, which will see the club play home and road games on the same day: Monday, February 22 (vs. Cleveland/at Milwaukee), Thursday, March 4 (vs. Los Angeles-AL/at Chicago-NL), and Monday, March 15 (vs. San Francisco/at San Diego).
MLB’s Spring Breakout games showcasing each club’s top prospects will return for a fourth year in 2027, with this spring’s edition introducing a new single-elimination tournament format. The Rangers prospects group will face the prospects team from the Kansas City Royals on Monday, March 8 in Surprise.
