Season Ticket Policies

Name Changes: Season ticket accounts as stated in the season ticket contract are non-transferable, thus the account holder of record may not be changed. If a company is the holder of record a request can be submitted and sent to the Red Sox Ticket Office on company letterhead to change the contact name on the account. This request will be reviewed and approved by Red Sox management.

Address Changes: Addresses can only be changed by the account holder of record by sending a letter via mail or fax including account number, seat location, old contact information and updated contact information.

Stolen Tickets: If tickets are stolen the season ticket holder of record must provide an official police report including exact seat location and account information to the Boston Red Sox Ticket Office. After review by Red Sox management, tickets may be reissued and sent priority mail to the account holder of record. If the game is less than 2 weeks away, tickets will be held at Red Sox Will Call to be picked up by account holder of record.

Rainout Policy: If legal game is not replayed or not rescheduled with same ticket valid, the rain check must be exchanged at the Red Sox ticket office in person by the lawful holder or by mail for a ticket of the same price, if available, for any future regularly scheduled game of the current season. If game is rescheduled NO REFUNDS or EXCHANGES will be issued. The original ticket will be valid for the makeup game.

Resale Policy

Red Sox tickets are revocable licenses and the Red Sox may revoke tickets for any reason, at management's discretion. These ticket licenses do not confer any property right to the ticket holder.

Ticket holders are advised that the Red Sox may cancel or revoke tickets for certain conduct including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Any form of fraudulent activity;
  • The purchase of tickets for the purpose and intent of reselling the tickets on the secondary market; and
  • Use of tickets for sweepstakes, contests, and/or promotions without the prior written consent from the Red Sox.

In the event that ticket holders are unable to attend games and need to sell their tickets, the Club recommends that the ticket holders go through approved entities for this purpose. Ticket holders should comply with applicable Massachusetts law in connection with any such resale.
