MINNEAPOLIS -- The Minnesota Twins announced Saturday that they have placed right-handed pitcher Kenta Maeda on the 15-day injured list with a right triceps strain (retroactive to Thursday).

To replace Maeda on the 26-man roster, the Twins have recalled right-handed pitcher Bailey Ober from Triple-A St Paul. The 27-year-old has made four starts for the Saints this season, going 2-1 with a 2.55 ERA (17.2 IP, 5 ER), six walks and 22 strikeouts.

Ober is scheduled to make the start this afternoon against the Kansas City Royals at Target Field.
