Tom Seaver. Mike Piazza. And now, Carlos Beltrán.
Beltrán's Hall of Fame plaque will feature a Mets logo when he’s inducted into Cooperstown on July 26, putting him alongside Seaver and Piazza as the only players to have that distinction.
“I didn’t do this alone,” said Beltrán, who played for seven teams over 20 seasons in the Majors. “Every team I played for shaped my journey, and I’m grateful to all of them. With the Mets, I experienced my greatest individual growth and success. I’m honored that my Hall of Fame plaque will feature the Mets logo, and I’m proud that every team I played for will be listed on the plaque.”
The National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum announced the logo selections for the Class of 2026 on Tuesday.
Andruw Jones, who was elected by the Baseball Writers’ Association of America along with Beltrán on Jan. 20, will be depicted with a Braves logo on his plaque, while Jeff Kent, chosen by the Contemporary Baseball Era Committee in December, will be shown with a Giants logo.

While those other selections came as no surprise, there was some question about which logo Beltrán’s plaque would feature after he was elected by the BBWAA in his fourth year on the ballot. The former outfielder played seven seasons apiece with the Royals and Mets and also spent time with the Astros, Giants, Cardinals, Yankees and Rangers.
Beltrán had memorable stints with many of those clubs, but it’s hard to argue with the Mets pick. Five of his nine All-Star selections, all three of his Gold Gloves and both of his Silver Sluggers came with the Mets. He appeared in more games (839), hit more homers (149) and produced more WAR (31.1, per Baseball-Reference) with the Mets than with any other team.
The Hall of Fame Class of 2026 will be formally inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame on Sunday, July 26, in Cooperstown, N.Y., with each new plaque revealed before the electee's speech. The 2026 Induction Ceremony will be televised live on MLB Network.
