Going back to New York in the Brazobán trade are Double-A right-hander Gabe Davis, ranked 18th in Chicago's system by MLB Pipeline, and Triple-A righty Zach Franklin.
Brazobán has posted a 2.56 ERA over 46 games this season, striking out 49 and walking 23 in 52 2/3 innings. The 36-year-old is in his fifth Major League season and has also pitched for the Marlins.
Davis made his professional debut this year after being selected in the fifth round of the 2025 MLB Draft. He is 0-5 with a 5.81 ERA in 18 games, all starts, over stints with High-A Winston-Salem and Double-A Birmingham. Franklin has spent the entire season at Triple-A Charlotte with a 4.37 ERA and five saves over 33 appearances, including one start.
The two-time Gold Glove Award winner Doyle was recently reinstated from the injured list after sustaining a left oblique contusion on May 19. He will not hit free agency until after the 2029 season. The White Sox sent right-hander Mason Adams (Chicago's No. 8 prospect) and shortstop Carlos Vielma back to the Rockies.
