Padres acquire PTBNL from Seattle Mariners

The San Diego Padres today announced they have acquired a player to be named later in exchange for right-handed pitcher Nick Vincent. Executive Vice President/General Manager A.J. Preller made the announcement.

SAN DIEGO - The San Diego Padres today announced they have acquired a player to be named later in exchange for right-handed pitcher Nick Vincent. Executive Vice President/General Manager A.J. Preller made the announcement.
Vincent, 29, went 0-1 with a 2.35 ERA (6 ER, 23.0 IP) and 22 strikeouts against 10 walks in 26 relief outings for San Diego last season. The right-hander also went 5-3 with a 3.04 ERA (17 ER, 50.1 IP) and 68 strikeouts against 15 walks in 40 relief appearances for Triple-A El Paso in 2015. He was originally signed by the Padres as an 18th-round selection in the 2008 First-Year Player Draft. Over parts of four Major League seasons (2012-15) with the Padres, he has gone 9-6 with a 2.63 ERA (44 ER, 150.2 IP) and 161 strikeouts against 39 walks in 161 relief appearances. 
With today's transaction the Padres currently have 39 players on the 40-man roster.
