Indians organization, players making community impact with nine May events

The Cleveland Indians organization and its charitable arm, Cleveland Indians Charities, continue to work toward achieving their goals of preparing youth for successful lives, while improving the quality of and creating a sustainable plan for baseball and softball programs in Greater Cleveland.

The Cleveland Indians organization and its charitable arm, Cleveland Indians Charities, continue to work toward achieving their goals of preparing youth for successful lives, while improving the quality of and creating a sustainable plan for baseball and softball programs in Greater Cleveland.
CIC has raised money at a variety of fundraising events and is aided by the generosity of donors including Cleveland Indians Community Partners (MCPc, Victory Park Ohio, Minute Men and MV Enterprises), Indians players, coaches, fans, front office personnel and corporate partners that help make community events possible.
The club is excited to announce nine community events taking place in May:
• Tuesday, May 3
-- Cleveland Indians to host Kluber's Kids, presented by Cleveland Clinic Children's, during batting practice
• Thursday, May 5 @ 10AM-Noon
-- Cleveland Indians Wives Association to visit University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital
• Thursday, May 5
-- Mike Napoli to host up to 20 guests from the Cleveland Clinic Children's Hospital during batting practice
• Thursday, May 5 @ 4PM (subject to change)
-- Boys and Girls Clubs of Cleveland Spring Arts Showcase on the Plaza with Tribe pitcher Danny Salazar joining kids on stage
• Friday, May 6 @ 10AM-Noon
-- Corey Kluber to visit Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center
• Sunday, May 8 
-- Honorary Bat Girl Recognition - an Indians player to present a bouquet of flowers to honoree Eva Johnson during pregame ceremonies
• Thursday, May 12
-- Fields for the Future at Gunning Recreation Center to take place all day with unveiling at 3:30PM - Yan Gomes to catch first pitch.

-- Play Ball Clinic featuring Indians players at Progressive Field
• Monday, May 16
-- First Lindor Smile Squad: Tribe shortstop Francisco Lindor will host special guests from a local Miracle League during batting practice
