DETROIT -- Following tonight's game at Detroit, the Chicago White Sox optioned right-handed pitcher Tommy Kahnle to Class AAA Charlotte.
Kahnle, 26, was recalled from Charlotte prior to tonight's series opener. He has gone 0-2 with a 6.23 ERA (3 ER/4.1 IP) and two strikeouts in five relief appearances over four stints with the Sox this season.
The White Sox will make a corresponding roster move prior to tomorrow's game against the Tigers.
