The Cleveland Indians today announced the following roster moves relative to the 2016 Major League roster:
 
Recalled RHP Cody Anderson (#56) from AAA Columbus.  
 
Optioned RHP Austin Adams to AAA Columbus.
 
Anderson, 25, will make a spot start tonight in Seattle against the Mariners in place of RHP Danny Salazar (R shoulder fatigue). He has split the season between Cleveland and Triple-A Columbus, going 1-3 with a 6.81 ERA in 8 games/7 starts (39.2IP, 56H, 30R/ER) in a pair of stints with the Indians. His last Major League start came in Game 2 of a doubleheader at Chicago-AL on May 23, recording his first win of the season (7.0IP, 5H, 1R/ER, 0BB, 9K). Around his time in Cleveland he has posted a mark of 0-0 with a 2.30 ERA in 3 starts for the Clippers (15.2IP, 14H, 4ER, 5BB, 19K) and has not allowed an earned run over his last 2 outings (10.0 IP).
