Colorado Rockies recall right-handed pitcher Scott Oberg

The Colorado Rockies announced today that they have recalled right-handed pitcher Scott Oberg from Triple-A Albuquerque and placed right-hander Tyler Chatwood on the 15-day disabled list with a mid-back strain.

The Colorado Rockies announced today that they have recalled right-handed pitcher Scott Oberg from Triple-A Albuquerque and placed right-hander Tyler Chatwood on the 15-day disabled list with a mid-back strain.
• Oberg, 26, will be making his second stint on the Rockies roster … was optioned to Triple-A May 20 after originally being recalled on April 25 … did not receive a decision in eight games with the Rockies in that span with a 4.76 ERA (11.1 IP, 6 ER), 12 hits, two home runs, five walks and six strikeouts … has pitched a career-high tying two innings three times with the Rockies this season … in 16 games with Albuquerque, has recorded five saves in six opportunities with a 2.89 ERA (18.2 IP, 6 ER), seven walks and 21 strikeouts … made 64 appearances in his rookie season with the Rockies in 2015, going 3-4 with one save and 5.09 ERA (58.1 IP, 33 ER) … he was drafted by the Rockies in the 15th round of the 2012 First-Year Player Draft out of the University of Connecticut. 
• Chatwood, 26, is 8-4 with a 2.89 ERA (84.0 IP, 27 ER) in 13 starts with the Rockies this season … is 5-0 with a Major League-leading 1.25 ERA (43.1 IP, 6 ER) on the road … his eight wins lead the Rockies and are tied for seventh in the National League … missed the entire 2015 season and a majority of the 2014 season after undergoing his second Tommy John surgery in 2014 … in parts of five seasons with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim (2011) and the Colorado Rockies (2012-16) has gone 28-26 with a 4.06 ERA (426.0 IP, 192 ER), 451 hits, 38 home runs, 179 walks and 252 strikeouts in 83 appearances, 74 starts … he was acquired by the Rockies via trade from the Angels in exchange for catcher Chris Iannetta on Nov. 30, 2011.
The Rockies currently have a full 40-man roster.
