LOS ANGELES - The Los Angeles Dodgers today recalled right-handed pitcher Pedro Baez from Double-A Tulsa, giving the team 33 players on its active roster.
Baez, 28, is 3-2 with a 3.61 ERA in 62 appearances with the Dodgers this year, limiting opponents to a .199 batting average with a 1.03 WHIP. He's averaged better than a strikeout per inning this season, with 68 Ks against just 19 walks in 62.1 innings. Baez last pitched on Aug. 29 with the Dodgers at Colorado and did not appear in a game for Tulsa after being optioned.
