Rockies Recall OF Raimel Tapia; Alexi Amarista Placed on Paternity List

The Colorado Rockies announced today that they have recalled outfielder Raimel Tapia from Triple-A Albuquerque and have placed infielder-outfielder Alexi Amarista on the paternity list.

The Colorado Rockies announced today that they have recalled outfielder Raimel Tapia from Triple-A Albuquerque and have placed infielder-outfielder Alexi Amarista on the paternity list.
· Tapia, 23, has made two previous stints on the active Major League roster this season and has gone hitless in 12 at-bats with one walk and five strikeouts … made his Major League debut for the Rockies on Sept. 2, 2016 vs. Arizona, and is batting .200 (10-for-50) with four runs scored, three RBI, three walks, 16 strikeouts and three stolen bases in 28 career games … this season with Albuquerque, is batting .359 (56-for-156) with 15 doubles, four triples, one home run, 23 RBI, 10 walks and 11 stolen bases.
· Amarista, 28, is batting .338 (23-for-68) with six doubles, two home runs, 14 RBI and one walk in 30 games played this season … has made eight starts at shortstop, two starts at second base, one start in left field and one start in center field … has batted .379 (11-for-29) over his last 10 games and hit safely in nine of his last 10 starts … in 636 career games with Los Angeles-AL (2011-12), San Diego (2012-16) and Colorado (2017), has batted .235 (387-for-1,650) with 63 doubles, 16 triples, 20 home runs, 165 RBI, 103 walks and 38 stolen bases.
The Rockies have 39 players on their 40-man roster.
