Rockies agree to terms with second-round selection Ryan Vilade and 33 others

The Colorado Rockies announced today that the Club has agreed to terms with shortstop Ryan Vilade, the Club's first overall selection from the second round (48th overall) of the 2017 First-Year Player Draft. Per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The Colorado Rockies announced today that the Club has agreed to terms with shortstop Ryan Vilade, the Club's first overall selection from the second round (48th overall) of the 2017 First-Year Player Draft. Per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
 
Vilade, 18, is a native of Frisco, Texas who was selected out of Stillwater High School in Oklahoma … he batted .410 with seven home runs and 34 RBI this season, his lone season at Stillwater … prior to his move to Oklahoma, Vilade attended Frisco High School in Frisco, Texas, where he was selected as a 2016 Under Armour All-American … the 6-foot-2, 200-pound right-handed batter was awarded the Gatorade Player of The Year Award for the state of Oklahoma and was named a Rawlings-Perfect Game 1st Team All-American for his performance this past season.
