Twins designate Craig Breslow for release or assignment

The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have designated left-handed pitcher Craig Breslow for release or assignment. To replace Breslow on the 25-man roster, the Twins have recalled right-handed pitcher Alan Busenitz.

The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have designated left-handed pitcher Craig Breslow for release or assignment. To replace Breslow on the 25-man roster, the Twins have recalled right-handed pitcher Alan Busenitz
Breslow posted a record of 1-1 with a 5.23 ERA (31.0 IP, 18 ER), 12 walks and 18 strikeouts in 30 appearances for the Twins this season.
Busenitz, 26, made six appearances for the Twins earlier this season posting a 2.08 ERA (8.2 IP, 2 ER). In 24 appearances for Triple-A Rochester this season he is 3-0 with a 1.78 ERA (35.1 IP, 7 ER), 10 walks and 39 strikeouts. In his last nine appearances for the Red Wings, Busenitz has a 0.75 ERA (12.0 IP, 1 ER), two walks and 12 strikeouts.
