The Arizona Diamondbacks reinstated OF David Peralta from the Paternity Leave List today after optioning LHP Anthony Banda to Triple-A Reno following last night's game.

The Arizona Diamondbacks reinstated OF David Peralta from the Paternity Leave List today after optioning LHP Anthony Banda to Triple-A Reno following last night's game.
Peralta and his wife, Jordan, welcomed their first child on August 14. Peralta, who celebrated his 30th birthday the same day as the birth of their daughter, is hitting .303 (116-for-383)/.359 OBP/.470 SLG/.829 OPS with 24 doubles, 2 triples, 12 homers, 41 RBI and 29 walks in 103 games. In his last 10 games, he is hitting .324 (12-for-37)/.409 OBP/.595 SLG/1.004 OPS with 4 doubles, 2 homers, 7 RBI and 6 walks. In his last 24 road games, he is hitting .323 (30-for-93)/.385 OBP/.495 SLG/.879 OPS with 5 doubles, 1 triple, 3 homers, 10 RBI and 8 walks.
Banda, 24, is 1-3 with a 7.32 ERA (16 ER in 19.2 IP) and 19 strikeouts in 4 starts for the D-backs. He got his first Major League win in his second start, a 2-1 victory @ Giants on August 4, with his first career quality start, allowing 1 run over 6.0 innings. In 19 starts with the Aces, he is 7-6 with a 5.13 ERA (61 ER in 107.0 IP), .260 opponents average (107-for-411) and 100 strikeouts. He entered 2017 as the D-backs' No. 1 Prospect by both Baseball America and MLB.com.
