The Kansas City Royals announced today that they have placed right-handed pitcher Neftalí Feliz on the 10-day disabled list with right ulnar nerve palsy. His DL stint is retroactive to August 14, making him eligible to return on August 24. To replace Feliz on the 25-man roster, the club has recalled left-handed pitcher Eric Skoglund from Omaha (AAA).
Skoglund, 24, will be in uniform (#69) for tonight's game with the Cleveland Indians. The lefty has a 4-5 record and a 4.07 ERA (47 ER in 104.0 IP) in 20 starts this year for the Storm Chasers, which includes going 2-1 with a 3.33 ERA (19 ER in 51.1 IP) since being optioned on July 3. He made his big league debut on May 30 vs. Detroit, tossing 6.1 shutout innings in a 1-0 triumph. Skoglund is 1-1 with a 5.59 ERA in three starts with the Royals this season.
