Phillies & Sony Pictures Television to Host "The Goldbergs Night" Sept. 15

To celebrate the popular show's broadcast syndication launch on PHL17, The Goldbergs creator and Philadelphia-area native Adam F. Goldberg - along with his brother Barry and the actor who plays him, Troy Gentile - make a special visit to the ballpark

Get out the spandex and shoulder pads - The Goldbergs Night is coming to Citizens Bank Park.
On Friday, September 15, fans coming to that night's 7:05 p.m. Phillies game against the Oakland A's will be treated to lots of '80s fun in honor of The Goldbergs - the popular '80s-based comedy set in the Philadelphia suburbs. The Goldbergs will be broadcast every weeknight at 6 and 7:30 P.M. on PHL17 in Philadelphia and on Tribune Stations across the country starting today.
"To this very day, my brother Barry's biggest complaint is that my Dad didn't get him tickets to see the Phillies in the 1980 World Series. It's mind-blowing that my childhood team is holding a night for 'The Goldbergs' and I will watch my brother throw out the ceremonial first pitch. 11-year-old Barry would never believe it," said Adam F. Goldberg, Creator and Executive Producer of The Goldbergs. "I wish my Dad was here to see it, but at least I have tons of great memories going to Phillies games with him back in 1980something."
Here's a sneak peek at what's in store for the night:
