The Texas Rangers announced today that the club has acquired International slot compensation from the Cincinnati Reds in exchange for minor league right-handed pitcher Miguel Medrano.
The 20-year-old Medrano was originally signed by Texas as a non-drafted free agent in 2016. He was 5-1 with a 2.59 ERA in 12 games/10 starts with the Rangers' Dominican Summer League 2 team in 2017.
